Ithaca Farmers Market Wedding

Ithaca, NY

If you’re trying to decide on a wedding venue in the Finger Lakes, you’re going to want to check out this gorgeous, colorful Ithaca Farmers Market Wedding. As an Ithaca wedding photographer, I have been fortunate to shoot at some amazing venues. But I have to say, the Ithaca Farmers Market is one of my favorites. If you're considering having your wedding at the Farmer's Market, here are just a few reasons why it's an incredible choice.

First and foremost, the Ithaca Farmers Market is a beautiful and unique setting. The market itself is an open-air space, surrounded by towering trees and beautiful greenery. Situated on the edge of Cayuga Lake, in the summer, the area is bursting with vibrant flowers and lush greenery. It's the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos, and you'll be able to capture the beauty of the Finger Lakes region in every shot.

About the Ithaca Farmers Market

The Ithaca Farmers Market was started in 1973 and is made up of around 150 businesses. It offers a variety of products, including fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, dairy, prepared foods, and artisanal gifts. The market was constructed by volunteers on what used to be a debris-filled area. In order to be sold at the market, all items must be locally sourced, coming from within 30 miles of the pavilion.

Ithaca Farmers Market Wedding Ceremony

Leala and Ray had their ceremony in front of the Ithaca Farmers Market dock, looking out over Cayuga Lake. In fact, instead of walking down the aisle from the pavilion like the rest of their wedding party, Leala made her grand entrance on a sailboat and then walked with both her parents down the dock to where Ray was waiting. It’s such a beautiful and unique ceremony space, and if you’re looking to get married in the Finger Lakes I really can’t recommend it enough.

Ithaca Farmers Market Pavilion Rental

The Ithaca Farmers Market Pavilion is the perfect place for a wedding reception. The rustic charm of the wooden beams and the warm glow of the string lights create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, while the open-air design allows you and your guests to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about the weather. In fact, we did get a little bit of rain during Leala and Ray’s reception, but we stayed nice and dry under the Pavilion.

Another reason to consider the Ithaca Farmers Market for your wedding is the food. If you have your wedding at Ithaca Farmers Market you’re required to hire one of their preferred caterers, but Ithaca is home to some of the best local food vendors, and they're sure to impress your guests with their fresh and delicious offerings. Whether you're looking for a full sit-down dinner or a more casual cocktail-style reception, Ithaca Farmers Market’s events coordinator will be there to help you navigate the planning process. Plus, with so many local vendors to choose from, you'll be able to support the Ithaca community while you celebrate your big day.

But maybe the best reason to have your wedding at the Ithaca Farmers Market is the sense of community. Your guests will be able to experience the best of what Ithaca has to offer, from the delicious food from local vendors to the beautiful scenery. And, unlike most other venues, when the wedding is over, you'll have the added bonus of being able to visit the market on a regular basis and relive the memories of your special day.

In short, Ithaca Farmers Market is a truly magical place to have your wedding. If you're looking for a unique and beautiful setting, views of Cayuga Lake, delicious food, and a sense of community, the Farmers Market is the perfect choice.
