As a Hudson Valley wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to explore so many beautiful venues, but The Bird and Bottle Inn in Garrison, NY, has completely stolen my heart.
One of the first things I did after I talked with Sam and Bobby about their wedding was look up photos of The Bird and Bottle Inn. Sam told me that the Inn had been renovated and re-opened in 2022, and that while they wanted their wedding to have an outdoor, garden party vibe, she was in love with the renovations, especially the gorgeous new wallpaper. With that in mind, we planned to show off the inside of the Inn while Sam and Bobby were getting ready for the day, and then move outside for their first look and most of their portraits. To say I’ve fallen in love with The Bird and Bottle Inn would be an understatement, I mean, look at these photos.
Getting Ready at Bird and Bottle Inn
One of the best parts of Sam and Bobby’s wedding morning was how relaxed and effortless it felt, thanks to the amazing getting ready spaces at The Bird and Bottle Inn. Sam got ready in the Emily Warren Room inside the historic main house—a space that mixes the Inn's old-school charm with modern comfort. The gorgeous wallpaper and soft natural light made it such a dreamy spot for her bridal portraits.
Meanwhile, just a short walk away, Bobby was in The Cottage—a cozy, private space that gave him and his friends plenty of room to hang out and get ready. Having separate spaces right on the property is such a win for wedding day logistics and photos. It keeps the morning flowing smoothly and makes it easy for me to capture real, candid moments without anyone feeling rushed. Plus, the beautifully updated guest rooms and all the thoughtful details throughout the Inn made every photo look so warm and inviting—not something you find at every Hudson Valley wedding venue!
Wedding Photos at The Bird and Bottle Inn
The grounds at The Bird and Bottle Inn are a dream for wedding photos. Sam and Bobby had their first look on the lawn, and then we explored to property, taking photos as we went. The Inn itself, with its charming front porch, makes for such a picturesque backdrop. There's also a beautiful little pathway that winds between the main house and The Cottage, lined with greenery and just asking to be photographed. One of my absolute favorite spots is the bridge out back that crosses over a quiet brook. It's such a peaceful, romantic setting and makes for some seriously stunning portraits. Every inch of the property is so well cared for, with perfectly manicured lawns and natural touches that give the whole place an effortless, timeless feel.
Bird and Bottle Inn Wedding Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Bird and Bottle Inn can be held outside on the lawn, or in case of inclement weather, under their beautiful sailcloth tent. For Sam and Bobby’s wedding they were lucky enough to say their “I do’s” outside on the lawn. One of the reasons I love this ceremony space so much is the way the light hits. Bird and Bottle has the perfect outdoor ceremony space, because when the sun is shining like it was for us, the light filters through the trees and gives the most beautiful backlighting for your ceremony and first kiss. We couldn’t have asked for better ceremony positioning (or better weather). I also love that if you’re having a smaller wedding, you can have your reception right in the gorgeous main dining room.
Cocktail Hour and Reception at The Bird and Bottle Inn
The Bird and Bottle Inn knows how to create an unforgettable celebration. Cocktail hour on the back patio feels so warm and inviting, with string lights overhead adding the perfect glow as the sun sets. The spread of food is just as incredible as you'd expect from a venue that's also a restaurant—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Guests can relax, mingle, and enjoy every bite in such a cozy, charming space.
For the reception, the sailcloth tent is stunning, with soft, natural light pouring in during the day and twinkling lights creating a romantic atmosphere at night. The spacious dance floor means everyone can join in the fun, and it all flows together so seamlessly. Every corner of the Bird and Bottle feels thoughtfully designed for celebrating.

Just about an hour from the city, this charming Hudson Valley venue feels like a breath of fresh air—a quiet, secluded spot where you and your guests can truly soak in the day. With exclusive access to the house and grounds for a full day and night, your wedding feels intimate and unrushed. The Inn's full-service wedding packages cover everything from catering and bar services to linens and tableware, so every detail is thoughtfully handled. I was so impressed by how attentive the staff was - taking care of setup and cleanup, and letting Sam and Bobby focus on the celebration.
