Coltivare Ithaca Wedding Photos

Alexa and Joe's wedding day started with a ceremony at Sage Chapel on the Cornell Campus, and ended with an intimate reception at the modern, industrial restaurant, Coltivare, in downtown Ithaca, NY.

Modern Ithaca Wedding Venue

If you're having a more traditional wedding ceremony in a church (like the one pictured here), or even maybe a less traditional ceremony in one of Ithaca's many gorgeous parks, you might find yourself wondering where you'll have your reception. Coltivare in Ithaca is a stunning downtown restaurant with a farm-fresh menu that hosts the coziest receptions (I like to do things in order here, so scroll down to get to the reception photos 😉).

Alexa and Joe had an intimate reception in the Wine Cellar for just their closest family and friends, but if you're looking for something bigger, Coltivare also hosts events for up to 110 people in their main Restaurant, and events for up to 250 guests in their Ballroom. I absolutely loved the way they transformed Coltivare's already gorgeous Wine Cellar by adding garland and taper candles to the tables (and the personalized name cards on each plate were the perfect celestial touch). On top of all that, Coltivare's staff was warm and friendly and their Farm-to-Bistro menu was delicious. I know I'll definitely be coming back to the restaurant on my own.

As a bonus, if you have guests coming from out of town, the beautiful Hotel Ithaca is right across the street, making it even easier for your wedding guests.

Sage Chapel Wedding Ceremony

We ended Alexa and Joe's wedding day with their reception at Coltivare, but we started their day with a ceremony at Cornell University's Sage Chapel. Sage Chapel is a breathtaking Catholic church and the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. I absolutely loved the architecture and stained glass windows. After the ceremony, the Cornell Campus was also a perfect, magical location for Alexa and Joe's portraits.
