When I heard Melinda and Gunner wanted to have their engagement session at Nay Aug Park in Scranton, PA I was so excited! I know I call myself an Upstate NY wedding photographer, but I’m also pretty close to Pennsylvania, so this was perfect.
They knew they wanted to start their session at the David Wenzel Treehouse, so I made the drive down late Monday afternoon to try and miss the crowds. The treehouse is awesome, but also not that big, so we had our fingers crossed that it wouldn’t be too busy. Thankfully, by the time we met up there was no one else around.
Since Melinda and Gunnar love taking walks in the woods, we decided to explore the trails after we were done at the treehouse. We walked along the trails, and since I’d never been to the park before, I let them lead the way 😅. We found some beautiful spots to take photos, and I was super excited when we got to the Nay Aug Park Bridge (the photos there ended up being some of my favorite of the session).
I had such a good time with Melinda and Gunnar and now I definitely want to go back to Nay Aug Park ... and photograph more treehouses 😄.
