To say I was excited for Jeremiah and Maria’s Mirbeau Inn and Spa Wedding is a huge understatement. Not only because I had a blast with them at their engagement session, but also because the moment I saw photos of the french-inspired manor houses (in upstate New York?!) I fell in love. Mirbeau may be in Skaneateles, but you’d be forgiven for thinking you walked into the pages of a fairy tale.
Mirbeau Inn & Spa Micro Weddings
Mirbeau Inn and Spa has 26 guest rooms and four freestanding cottages, making it the perfect place to host an intimate micro-wedding. The Inn, Spa, and Chateau’s all surround the picturesque garden and koi pond, and it’s honestly easy to forget that you haven’t actually traveled to France. In fact, while I was walking through the gardens before the wedding, one of the guests told me how his wife said that Mirbeau looked like something painted by Monet. I found out later that she wasn’t far off. The ponds and gardens actually were inspired by Claude Monet’s personal gardens in Giverny, France. Micro-weddings are available at Mirbeau Sundays-Thursdays from June to September, which I would imagine, is when the lush gardens are looking their absolute best.
Mirbeau Weddings
Wedding ceremonies at Mirbeau take place on their beautiful blue bridge or the Monet Lawn. Jeremiah and Maria chose to have their ceremony on the bridge, and I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a ceremony location less in need of decoration. They chose to add some florals to the bridge, which was gorgeous, but the venue is breathtaking all on its own. When the ceremony is held on the bridge, guests sit on the deck outside the main restaurant.
If you have more guests, it may be more comfortable to have your ceremony on the Monet Lawn. The Monet lawn is a clearing surrounded by tall trees and is right near the Mirbeau reception space, the Monet Deck.
Mirbeau Spa
Wedding guests who choose to stay at Mirbeau overnight will definitely want to check out Mirbeau’s spa the next day. The spa offers everything from massages, to facials, calming mineral baths, body treatments, and full spa day packages. It’s the perfect way to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate after a long night of celebration and dancing.
Mirbeau Wedding Receptions
Receptions at Mirbeau Inn and Spa are held on the Monet Deck. The white tented deck features chandeliers hanging from ceilings draped with elegant white cloth. It’s the perfect neutral backdrop, and can easily be transformed for whatever style you’re envisioning for your wedding day. It would look equally stunning with soft, neutral tones or decked out in saturated jewel tones.
Mirbeau Wedding Catering
You can't talk about a wedding at Mirbeau Inn and Spa without talking about the food. Mirbeau's in-house catering is not only easier (you don't have to worry about a separate caterer), but you also know you're getting organic and regional produce, dairy, and meats. Their global cuisine uses locally sourced ingredients and is inspired by French-speaking populations around the world.
